Today, we?re excited to announce that Zillow is now powering real estate search and listings for Google Now, Google?s latest update to its Search application for Android devices.
Pre-loaded on and available for Android devices operating 4.1 Jelly Bean, Google Now is a new predictive personal assistant that surfaces relevant information, such as checking current traffic or weather conditions before leaving your home. If Google Now detects that you?re home shopping, via keyword search or frequent visits to real estate sites, the new Zillow ?card? will surface information on nearby homes for sale and open houses. Plus, while you?re attending an open house, Google Now will identify your location and automatically pull additional information about the home, including time on market, listing price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and year built.
If you?re interested in finding out more details about a home or contacting the agent, the Zillow Real Estate app or Zillow mobile website will launch directly from the card, taking you to the home?s listing page on Zillow.
?We?re thrilled to be one of the first third-party services providing content for Google Now, more proactively serving Zillow?s growing Android audience,? said Jeremy Wacksman, vice president of consumer marketing and mobile at Zillow. ?Interested home shoppers now have instant access to a personalized shopping experience that can help them find listings and local real estate information from our database of more than 110 million homes.?
To take Google Now for a spin, check out Google Now on your Android device, or download the Google Search app from the Google Play store.
