We are looking for graduates interested in a career in forensic technology and eDiscovery.

The role will involve activities throughout the entire lifecycle of a forensic technology engagement, including the identification, preservation and collection of a variety of data sources including traditional sources such as laptops, desktops and servers as well as more advanced collections including those from content management systems and over-the-network collection. Once data has been collected, the data can then be processed and analysed, which will involve the use of several industry-standard tools, in addition to manipulating and transforming large structured and unstructured data sets. The role will also involve liaising with our clients and software vendors. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate is comfortable regularly drawing upon a broad range of technical skills including working with computer hardware, operating forensic applications and programmatically manipulating data using SQL or an object-oriented programming language.

The successful candidate would be highly technical and who has, or is on course to obtain an upper second class degree or above in computer science/forensics or related discipline. They should demonstrate a passion for technology, awareness for current IT trends, in addition to a genuine desire to build a career in this field. We operate in a fast-moving, high-pressured environment therefore the candidate should thrive in a dynamic and reactive team. There is significant opportunity for travelling on the job so the candidate should be willing to travel both on domestic and international assignments. Client projects can be varied in size therefore the candidate should be prepared to work both individually and on large project teams.

Technical Skills
Essential:
- Experience with databases, particularly SQL programming and design of relational databases
- Experience in programming e.g. industry experience or a significant implementation project at university
- Solid understanding of networks and operating systems
- Practical experience in working with hardware components that make up a modern PC
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications including customisation and automation
- Awareness of trends and developments in IT
- Strong independent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in a non-technical way

Desired
- Experience with object-oriented programming, specifically .NET or Java
- Experience with web programming, specifically ASP.NET or PHP
- Experience using scripting languages and techniques
- Awareness of distributed computing techniques such as MapReduce and Hadoop
- Exposure to enterprise-level networking and server administration
- Experience with network or computer security
- Fluency in non Windows operating systems
- Experience with industry-standard forensic applications and tools such as EnCase, FTK, Helix, Dossier, Solo, Talon, Tableau
- Experience administering or deploying enterprise applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and other content management systems, IIS, Apache
- Work experience in an IT environment
