Penn State?s Students React To The NCAA?s Program-Killing Sanctions

This was the scene today inside the HUB (Penn State?s student union building) as NCAA president Mark Emmert announced the unprecedented punishments against the Nittany Lions? football program. According to Scranton?s WNEP, there were audible gasps and more than a few tears as Emmert read the rough equivalent of a program death sentence.

For these kids, who likely grew up around parents, friends, and relatives who bled white and blue, and who themselves thought they?d be getting four years of important games at Beaver Stadium, the hurt was visible.
